Arrange, align, group and lock elements
Line up elements with smart guides, change their order, group them and use the layers list.
- Align: drag an element and guides snap it to the page centre, edges and other elements. With several elements selected, use Align in the toolbar, or Position › Align elements / Align to page.
- Order: Position › Forward, Backward, To front, To back.
- Group: select several elements (hold Shift) and choose Group.
- Lock keeps an element from moving.
- Rotate with the handle (hold Shift for 15° steps), Flip horizontally or Flip vertically, and change Transparency.
- Layers lists every element: drag to reorder, Hide, Show, lock and rename.
Turn on Grid or Guides from the view options to place things precisely. Size & position shows exact values.
