Footnotes, citations and captions
Add footnotes and endnotes, cite sources, build a bibliography and caption figures.
On the References tab:
- Insert Footnote — a numbered note at the bottom of the page. Insert Endnote puts it at the end.
- Insert Citation — cite a source; manage sources and pick a citation style. Bibliography builds the list of sources.
- Insert Caption — number figures and tables ("Figure 1"). Captions can be listed in a table of figures and referred to with a Cross-reference.
- Insert Index — build an index of marked entries.
