Suggest changes and track changes
Propose edits that others can accept or reject, like track changes.
Suggest changes
- Switch the mode at the top from Editing to Suggesting (or Review › Track Changes).
- Type and delete as usual. Insertions are underlined and deletions struck through, in your colour.
Commenters are always in suggesting mode.
Accept or reject
Editors open Suggestions to Accept or Reject each change, or Accept all / Reject all. Authors can withdraw their own suggestions.
Review › Show Markup changes how much markup you see.
Tip
Suggestions are saved as tracked changes in the .docx, and tracked changes in imported files become suggestions.
Compare two documents
Review › Compare compares this document with another of yours and creates a new document showing the differences as tracked changes.
