Manage a channel
Rename a channel, set its topic, make it private, archive, export or delete it.
Open the conversation's Details and Channel settings:
- Name, Topic and Description.
- Private channel and Announcements only (admins post).
- Keep messages (days) — delete older messages and files automatically.
- Export (text) or Export (JSON).
- Archive — the channel becomes read-only. Unarchive reopens it.
- Delete conversation — removes all its messages and files for everyone.
Members can set the topic; owners and admins change the rest.
