Set margins, page size and orientation
Change the page size, margins, orientation and columns, and add breaks.
On the Layout tab:
- Margins — choose preset margins, or custom ones.
- Orientation — portrait or landscape.
- Size — A4, Letter and other sizes.
- Columns — split text into columns.
- Breaks — insert a page break, column break or section break. Sections can have their own orientation, columns, headers and footers.
File › Page setup… sets everything in one dialog.
Pages or pageless
View › Pages shows the document as printed pages. Pageless shows one continuous surface without page breaks — choose the Text width. Printing, PDF and .docx always use the page setup.
