Create app passwords for mail apps
Mail and calendar apps sign in with an app password, never your Woosool Account password.
Mail and calendar apps — desktop mail programs, phone mail apps, calendar and contact sync apps — never sign in with your Woosool Account password. Create a separate app password for each one.
- Open Settings › Security and find App passwords.
- Select Create app password.
- Enter a Name you'll recognise, like "Mail on my laptop".
- Under Can be used for, choose Email (IMAP, POP3 and SMTP) and/or Calendar & contacts (CalDAV and CardDAV).
- Copy the password into your app now. It won't be shown again.
In the app, sign in with your full email address as the username and the app password as the password.
Revoke an app password
Each app password shows when it was created and last used. Select Revoke if you no longer use the app or lost the device. Apps using it are signed out.
Note
There is a maximum number of app passwords. If you reach it, revoke one you no longer use.
