Turn on 2-Step Verification
Ask for a code from an authenticator app when you sign in with your password.
On this page
With 2-Step Verification, signing in with your password also needs a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone.
Turn it on
- Go to account.woosool.com and open Security & sign-in.
- Under 2-Step Verification, select Turn on.
- Scan the QR code with your authenticator app. If you can't scan it, type the code shown under Or enter this code manually:.
- Enter the 6-digit code from the app and select Verify.
- Woosool shows 8 backup codes. Select Copy all codes and keep them somewhere safe — see Use backup codes.
What happens next
- Your other sessions are signed out, and you get an e-mail.
- Mail apps (IMAP, SMTP) no longer accept your account password. Create app passwords for them.
Turn it off
- Under 2-Step Verification, select Turn off.
- Enter a code from your authenticator app or a backup code, then select Turn off.
Note
If your organisation requires 2-Step Verification, you can't open Woosool apps until it is on. A banner with Turn on 2-Step Verification reminds you.
