Use inbox categories
Split your inbox into Primary, Updates, Promotions, Social and Forums tabs.

Inbox categories sort incoming mail into tabs, so newsletters and notifications don't bury personal messages.
Turn them on or off
- Open Settings › Preferences.
- Turn Inbox categories on or off.
The tabs are Primary, Updates, Promotions, Social and Forums. Sorting happens on the server, so it is the same on every device.
Move a message to another tab
- Right-click the message (or open its menu) and choose Move to tab.
- Pick the tab.
- Barid asks Do this for future messages? Select Always to put new messages from that sender in the same tab.
