Redact sensitive information
Permanently remove text, areas or whole pages, and remove hidden information.
- Choose the Protect workspace.
- Mark what to remove:
- Mark text or Mark area, or Mark whole page;
- Find & redact: search Words or phrases, Phone numbers, E-mail addresses, Card numbers, Social security numbers or Dates.
- Select Apply redactions and confirm.
- Save.
Everything under each mark — text, pictures, drawings, links, comments and form fields — is removed for good.
Remove hidden information also removes content you can't see, such as document metadata.
Warning
Redaction can't be undone after you save. Keep the original if you might need it.
