Freeze rows and columns
Keep headers visible while you scroll, and split the window into panes.
- Open the View tab and select Freeze panes.
- Choose Freeze first row, Freeze first column, or freeze at the selected cell.
Frozen rows and columns stay in place when you scroll. Choose the same menu again to unfreeze.
View › Split divides the window into panes you can scroll separately, to compare far-apart parts of a sheet.
