Import and export passwords

Import

1. In your old password manager or browser, export your passwords. Aman reads JSON, CSV and XML exports from the common password managers and browsers, and Aman's own encrypted export.
2. In Aman, open Settings › Import & export and choose Import file.
3. Check the preview and confirm the import. Items are encrypted on your device.
4. Delete the import file afterwards: it isn't encrypted.

If the other app only offers an encrypted export, export it unencrypted from that app instead (then delete that file).

Export

• Encrypted export: protected with a Password for the export file. Import it back into Aman.
• Unencrypted CSV: a plain file with every password readable. Use only if you must, and delete it soon after.

Only the items of your personal vault are exported.
