How saving works
Qalam saves automatically, keeps your changes when you're offline and tells you when something is wrong.
Qalam saves every change automatically. The status next to the document name shows:
- Saving… — changes are being sent.
- Saved to Khazna — everything is saved.
- Offline — changes are kept in this tab — you lost your connection. Keep working; changes are sent when you're back online.
- Not saved — retrying — Qalam couldn't save and tries again on its own.
To save immediately, press Ctrl + S (⌘ + S) or choose File › Save now.
Offline changes
Changes not yet saved are kept in your browser. If you close the tab while offline, they are restored and saved the next time you open the document.
Note
If someone restored an older version in the meantime, your offline changes can't be applied, and Qalam tells you.
