  1. The message stays in Drafts or shows "Failed"
  2. Too many recipients or messages
  3. Attachments too large
  4. "No sending identity available"
  5. The message bounced back
  6. In another mail app

The message stays in Drafts or shows "Failed"

Open it and select Retry sending. Check your connection.

Too many recipients or messages

Your plan limits recipients per message and messages per day. Split the recipients, or wait until the next day. See Sending limits.

Attachments too large

See Attachment too large.

"No sending identity available"

Your address has no identity. Open Settings › Identities and check you have one.

The message bounced back

Read the bounce message:

  • "User unknown" — the address doesn't exist. Check for typos.
  • Rejected as spam — avoid many links or attachments to unknown recipients. If it keeps happening on a company domain, contact your organisation's administrator.

In another mail app

Use an app password, not your account password.
