Set up end-to-end encryption
Create OpenPGP keys in your browser so only your recipients can read your messages.
With end-to-end encryption, messages are encrypted in your browser before they leave your device, and only the recipients' keys can decrypt them.
- Open Settings › Encryption.
- Select Set up encryption.
- Choose an Encryption passphrase of at least 10 characters and confirm it. It protects your private key.
- Barid creates your key pair in this browser.
Warning
If you forget this passphrase, encrypted messages can't be recovered. Woosool can't reset it.
Use your keys on other devices
Keep Encrypted backup on Woosool on. Your keys are stored encrypted with your passphrase, so your other browsers and the Barid app can use them. The server never sees the passphrase.
Locking
Your keys unlock with the passphrase and Lock automatically after the time you choose, and always when you sign out or close the tab. Select Lock now at any time.
Already have a key?
Select Import an existing key to use a key from another OpenPGP app (.asc, .gpg or pasted text). S/MIME certificates (.p12 or .pfx) can be imported under S/MIME certificates.
